Project Context
The project upgraded and refurbished the Old Passenger Terminal at SSR International Airport to provide modern passenger facilities and support additional terminal capacity. The works formed part of a live operational airport environment and included the refurbishment of boarding lounges, airside corridors, passenger boarding bridges, passenger seating, toilets, technical rooms and associated terminal interfaces.
The approximately 3,000 m² project combined architectural refurbishment, interior fit-out, mechanical and electrical installations, ICT networks, flight-information display systems, security access-control systems and operational requirements. Delivery had to be coordinated around airport operations, existing structures and services, passenger safety and restricted airside access.
